Waiting - April 20th, 2020
I hope you are all surviving and at least coping, if not thriving.
I’m in that strange place of waiting. I don’t have a job, but the possibility of one, (and one in my field.) However, because of the nature of the work, I can only do some gig stuff before knowing the outcome–and nothing that would actually make money enough to justify putting my family’s health at risk. So, here am I, like many of you, waiting and trying to make the best of it. I hope you think this writing is a good use of my time. This pastel by Degas, while beautiful, depicts the tension, the exasperation, and the doubts that can batter while being stuck waiting. I think Vincent would totally understand. So now, without further ado, Home: Chapter 19.
